2. INSTALLING THE CURRENTC APP

  • Access the Google Play Store
  • Press the SEARCH button at the top right of the screen

iPhone: To download the free CurrentC app on the App Store follow the instructions below.

ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE

1. CREATING YOUR CURRENTC ACCOUNT

When you first download CurrentC, you’ll be asked to provide some basic information to create your CurrentC account profile.

  • Open the CurrentC app
  • Select FIRST TIME? REGISTER NOW

 

CREATE PROFILE

  • Enter your First and Last Name
  • Enter the email you wish to associate with your CurrentC Account
    • NOTE: This email address cannot be changed once your account is created.
  • Create your password
  • Enter your phone number
  • Press NEXT

 

SET PASSCODE

  • Choose a 4-digit Passcode
    • NOTE: To meet our security standards, your Passcode may not use repeating digits (eg 1111, 9999) or ascending/descending digits (eg 1234, 8765).
  • Press NEXT

 

COMPLETE PROFILE

  • Select your Security Questions
    • Choose the questions you wish to answer from the drop-down list
    • Type your answer to each question in the field below
    • Note: Your answers may not include the symbols €, £, or ¥.
  • Check the circle that you have read and accept the CurrentC User Terms and Conditions and User Privacy Profile
  • Press AGREE AND CREATE ACCOUNT

 

CONFIRM YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS

  • Check your inbox for an Email Validation message
  • Click on the CONFIRM EMAIL link to verify and confirm your email address 

NOTE: The email validation link expires after 72 hours

 

SIGN INTO CURRENTC FOR THE FIRST TIME

  • Return to the CurrentC app
  • Enter your email address and the password you created during registration
  • Press the LOG IN button
  • Answer your Security Question
  • Press SUBMIT
  • Once your Security Question is validated you will be logged into your CurrentC account on that device, and will use your 4-digit Passcode each time you open CurrentC

NOTE: If you log out of the CurrentC app at any time, your device will be removed from your CurrentC Account and you will not be able to use it for transactions until you log back in on that same device, or any new device you choose. You will need to enter your email address, password, and answer one of your security questions to log back in to your CurrentC app.

2. EDITING YOUR CURRENTC ACCOUNT DETAILS (PROFILE SETTINGS)

Things change — and sometimes those things need to be updated on your CurrentC profile. To quickly and easily edit your first name, last name and/or your telephone number, please follow the steps below:

  • Open the CurrentC app
  • Enter your 4-digit Passcode
  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select the SETTINGS option
  • Select the EDIT button at the top right of the screen
  • Make your changes
  • Select the SAVE button

 

NOTE: The email address you use to create your CurrentC Account may not be changed at this time. If you wish to use a different email address with CurrentC, you must create a new CurrentC Account using your preferred email address and re-add any payment or loyalty accounts you wish to use.

3. CHANGING YOUR CURRENTC PASSWORD

Looking to change your password? You can do it right on your phone if you remember your current password and are already logged in. If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset your password online. Your CurrentC password is required to log into your CurrentC app, and any time you add your account to a new device.

 

Option 1: Change your password in the app:

  • Open the CurrentC app
  • Enter your 4-digit Passcode
  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select the SETTINGS option
  • Select the CHANGE PASSWORD option
  • Click the OK button
  • Enter your current password
  • Enter your new password
  • Confirm your new password
  • Select the SAVE button

 

Option 2: Reset your password at My.CurrentC.com:

  • Open an internet browser
  • Navigate to my.currentc.com
  • Select “I forgot my Password” link in the upper right corner
  • Enter the email address associated with your CurrentC Account
  • Check your email for a link to reset your password
  • Confirm your identity by answering your three security questions, as provided when you created your CurrentC account
  • Enter your new password
  • Confirm your new password
  • Select the Continue button to finalize
  • Log into the CurrentC app with your new password

 

NOTE: To meet our security standards, your password must meet the following complexity requirements:

  • Be at least eight characters long
  • Contain at least one uppercase character
  • Contain at least one lowercase character
  • Contain at least one number or symbol
  • May not include ‘, “, & or spaces

4. CHANGING YOUR CURRENTC PASSCODE

Looking to change your Passcode? You can do it right on your phone if you remember your current Passcode and are already logged in. If you’ve forgotten your Passcode, you can reset it online. Your Passcode is required every time you open the app, to keep it private and protected from unauthorized use.

 

Option 1: Change your Passcode in the app:

  • Open the CurrentC app
  • Enter your current 4-digit Passcode
  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select SETTINGS
  • Select CHANGE PASSCODE
  • Click the OK button
  • Enter your current Passcode
  • Enter your new Passcode
  • Re-enter your new Passcode to confirm the change

 

Option 2: Reset your Passcode at My.CurrentC.com:

  • Open an internet browser
  • Navigate to my.currentc.com
  • Select “I forgot my Passcode” link in the upper right corner
  • Enter the email address associated with your CurrentC Account
  • Check your email for a link to reset your Passcode
  • Confirm your identity by answering your three security questions, as provided when you created your CurrentC account
  • Enter your new Passcode
  • Confirm your new Passcode
  • Select the Continue button to finalize
  • Pin into the CurrentC app with your new Passcode

5. CHANGING YOUR SECURITY QUESTIONS

You answered three security questions at the time you created your CurrentC Account. Want to select some different questions or change your answers? Follow these instructions:

  • Open the CurrentC app
  • Enter your current 4-digit Passcode
  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select SETTINGS
  • Select CHANGE SECURITY QUESTIONS
  • Select a question from the list available
  • Type in the response in the YOUR ANSWER field
    • Note: Your answers may not include the symbols €, £, or ¥.
  • Follow the same steps to select and answer a second and third question
  • Click the SUBMIT button to confirm your new Security Questions and answers

6. ADDING PAYMENT ACCOUNTS: CHECKING, CREDIT, DEBIT, AND GIFT CARDS

Your payment accounts are converted from account numbers into a random token the moment you add them to your CurrentC account, so your original payment account details are obscured and are not passed to the retailer during a transaction. Your sensitive data is not stored in the CurrentC app, and it’s not saved to your phone, keeping it safe if your device is lost or stolen.

 

CHECKING ACCOUNT (ACH)

When you add a checking account to CurrentC, it uses the Automated Clearing House (ACH) network to process an electronic financial transfer between your bank and the merchant where you have purchased goods or services. An ACH transfer is similar to online bill pay and is processed within 1-4 days. Your checking account can be added as a payment type using either your online bank account credentials or, if your bank is not listed or you prefer not to use your online credentials, you many enter your account’s routing and account number and follow the verification steps provided.

 

Follow these steps to add a checking account:

  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select ACCOUNTS
  • Select the ADD (+) button
    • For iPhone – The add button is a plus sign at the top right of the Accounts screen
    • For Android – Press your phone’s menu button
  • Click the ADD PAYMENT ACCOUNT button
  • Select CHECKING ACCOUNT from the list of account types
  • Enter the primary account holder’s information
    • Note: This information is not stored in your phone or in the CurrentC app
  • Select the SUBMIT button

 

Next, you may use the online bank account credentials process if your bank is shown in our list of bank partners. You may also use the routing and account number option if your bank is not listed, or if you prefer not to use your online bank account credentials to add your checking account to CurrentC.

 

If adding your bank account using your online bank account credentials:

  • Select your bank from the list of participating banks (select Show More to expand the list)
  • Enter your online banking credentials (the user name and password you use to log into your bank online)
  • Answer the security question(s) or select a linked phone number or email address, as presented by your bank, to verify you are the account holder
  • Select the checking account that you want to use through CurrentC
  • Press ADD ACCOUNT button
  • You will see a confirmation screen that your payment account has been added
  • Press DONE button
  • Your account will now appear in the MY PAYMENT ACCOUNTS list

 

If adding your bank account using the routing and account numbers, we will make small test deposit and withdrawal to verify you are the account holder:

  • Press the “My Bank is Not Listed” link at the bottom of the bank list; if you prefer not to enter your online banking credentials you may select this option even if your bank is shown on the list
  • Enter your bank routing number and account number
  • Press the NEXT button
  • Press the VERIFY button
  • Access your bank statement to look for micro deposit and withdrawal amounts (this may take up to 3 business days)
  • Open the CurrentC app
  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select ACCOUNTS
  • Select the account labeled “ACTION REQUIRED
  • Enter the micro deposit and withdrawal amounts as shown on your bank statement
    • The deposit and withdrawal amounts may or may not be identical
    • The withdrawal amount will be equal to or LESS THAN the test deposit.
  • Press the VERIFY button
  • Press the DONE button
  • Your account will now appear in the MY PAYMENT ACCOUNTS list

 

CREDIT ACCOUNT

  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select ACCOUNTS
  • Select the ADD (+) button
    • For iPhone – The add button is a plus sign at the top right of the Accounts screen
    • For Android – Press your phone’s menu button
  • Click the ADD PAYMENT ACCOUNT button
  • Select CREDIT ACCOUNT from the list of account types
  • Select from available credit account options shown
  • Enter account holder information as required
    • Note: This information is not stored in your phone or in the CurrentC app
  • Assign a NICKNAME for the account if desired
  • Select the SUBMIT button
  • You will see a confirmation screen that your payment account has been added
  • Select ADD ANOTHER to go back to the Add Accounts screen, or select ACCOUNTS to go to the My Payment Accounts screen
  • Your account will now appear in the MY PAYMENT ACCOUNTS list

 

DEBIT ACCOUNT

  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select ACCOUNTS
  • Select the ADD (+) button
    • For iPhone – The add button is a plus sign at the top right of the Accounts screen
    • For Android – Press your phone’s menu button
  • Click the ADD PAYMENT ACCOUNT button
  • Select DEBIT ACCOUNT from the list of account types
  • Select from available debit account options shown
  • Enter your account information as required
    • Note: This information is not stored in your phone or in the CurrentC app
  • Assign a NICKNAME for the account if desired
  • Select the SUBMIT button
  • You will see a confirmation screen that your payment account has been added
  • Select ADD ANOTHER to go back to the Add Accounts screen, or select ACCOUNTS to go to the My Payment Accounts screen
  • Your account will now appear in the MY PAYMENT ACCOUNTS list

 

GIFT CARD

  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select ACCOUNTS
  • Select the ADD (+) button
    • For iPhone – The add button is a plus sign at the top right of the Accounts screen
    • For Android – Press your phone’s menu button
  • Click the ADD PAYMENT ACCOUNT button
  • Select GIFT CARD from the list of account types
  • Select from available gift card options shown
  • Enter your account information as required
    • Note: This information is not stored in your phone or in the CurrentC app
  • Assign a NICKNAME for the account if desired
  • Select the SUBMIT button
  • You will see a confirmation screen that your payment account has been added
  • Select ADD ANOTHER to go back to the Add Accounts screen, or select ACCOUNTS to go to the My Payment Accounts screen
  • Your account will now appear in the MY PAYMENT ACCOUNTS list

7. REMOVING PAYMENT ACCOUNTS

There are times when you may want to remove a payment account from CurrentC, such as when a gift card balance has been depleted or you have changed banks.

 

NOTE: To remove your CHECKING ACCOUNT, you must contact CurrentC Customer Care at 855-772-8773 for assistance.

 

Follow these steps to remove credit, debit, and gift card accounts:

  • Open the CurrentC app
  • Enter your 4-digit Passcode
  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select the ACCOUNTS button from the drop down menu
  • Press the MY PAYMENT tab
  • Select the payment account that you would like to remove
  • Press the DELETE ACCOUNT button
  • Confirm you wish to delete the account, or cancel if you do not want to remove the account

 

NOTE: If you are removing a gift card that shows an available balance, you must have your original gift card to access the amount or add it back to CurrentC. Your account information is not retained by CurrentC, and any remaining balance cannot be reissued to you once the card is deleted from your CurrentC account.

8. SETTING A DEFAULT PAYMENT ACCOUNT

Choosing a default account allows you to quickly make payments using a payment account of your choice.
 NOTE: The first payment account you add to your CurrentC app will automatically be set as the default payment account. These instructions show you how to change your default account:

  • Open the CurrentC app
  • Enter your 4-digit Passcode
  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select the ACCOUNTS button from the drop down menu
  • Select the payment account you want to use as your default payment account
  • In the Payment Account Info screen, check the DEFAULT PAYMENT ACCOUNT

9. ADDING LOYALTY ACCOUNTS

Want to instantly earn points/rewards with your existing merchant rewards programs each time you pay with CurrentC? Fantastic! Follow the steps below to add the loyalty accounts you have with participating merchants — the rest is automatic!

  • Open the CurrentC app
  • Enter your 4-digit Passcode
  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select ACCOUNTS from the drop-down menu
  • Select the ADD (+) button
    • For iPhone – The add button is a plus sign at the top right of the Accounts screen
    • For Android – Press your phone’s menu button
  • Click the ADD LOYALTY ACCOUNT button
  • Select an available Loyalty Account from the list
  • Scan the barcode on the back of your loyalty card
    • NOTE: If you’re having trouble scanning press the “Having trouble scanning? Enter manually” button
  • If entering manually: Enter your loyalty account card number
  • Select the SUBMIT button

10. REMOVING LOYALTY ACCOUNTS

Want to remove a Loyalty account that you no longer use? Here’s how:

  • Open the CurrentC app
  • Enter your 4-digit Passcode
  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select ACCOUNTS from the drop-down menu
  • Press the MY LOYALTY tab
  • Select the loyalty account you would like to remove
  • Press the DELETE ACCOUNT button
  • Confirm you wish to delete the account, or cancel if you do not want to remove the account

11. ADDING A DEVICE TO YOUR CURRENTC ACCOUNT

Want to add your CurrentC account to an additional device, or better yet, add CurrentC to a brand new device? Just follow the quick and easy instructions below:

  • Download the CurrentC app on your new device
  • Enter your email address
  • Enter your password
  • Answer your security question
  • Once you are logged in, you will need to enter your 4-digit Passcode every time you open CurrentC
  • You will receive an email confirming you have added a device to your CurrentC Account

 

NOTE: Once you have a registered CurrentC Account, you may access that account on any supported device

 

If you are adding an account to a new device and you want to remove an old device, see Logging out of the CurrentC App/Removing a device.

12. LOGGING OUT OF THE CURRENTC APP

Need to log out of your CurrentC account on your device for any reason? Once you’re logged out, your CurrentC account cannot be used for payments until you log back in.

  • Open the CurrentC app
  • Enter your 4-digit Passcode
  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select the SETTINGS option
  • Select the LOG OUT button

 

NOTE: After logging out of the app, you will need to enter your email and password AND answer one of your Security Questions to log back into the app from the same device, as well as from any new device.

13. REMOVING A DEVICE FROM YOUR CURRENTC ACCOUNT

If you have a new device and are no longer using your old one, you can remove that device from your CurrentC Account so it can no longer access your account. If your device has been lost or stolen, call CurrentC Customer Care and we will remove your missing device from accessing your CurrentC Account for you.

  • Open the CurrentC app
  • Enter your 4-digit Passcode
  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select the SETTINGS option
  • Select the LOG OUT button

 

NOTE: After removing a device from your account, you will need to enter your email and password AND answer one of your Security Questions to log back into the app from the same device, as well as from any new device.

 

USING CURRENTC

1. STORE LOCATOR

CurrentC includes a built-in Store Locator, accessible from the home screen, that identifies retailers accepting CurrentC near your current location.

  • Open the CurrentC app
  • Enter your 4-digit Passcode
  • From the Home Screen select LOCATIONS

 

NOTE: Be sure to allow the CurrentC app access to Location Services on your device so the Store Locator can find our merchant partners that are near you.

 

2. PAYMENT BASICS

To pay with CurrentC you must:

  • Have downloaded and installed the CurrentC app on your supported device
  • Have registered your account with CurrentC
  • Have added at least one payment account that is accepted at the retailer where you wish to transact. For example, a Target REDCard™ Credit Card would be accepted for payment only at Target locations.

3. CURRENTC PAYCODE AND TOKENIZATION: KEEPING YOUR INFO SAFE

The CurrentC Paycode (aka the pay token) is a secure, dynamically generated barcode. Dynamic means it is created for a one-time use, so a new one is created every time you perform a transaction. The Paycode is a low-value token, which means it’s useless outside of that single transaction, and stores no identifiable account information.

Your sensitive data is not stored in the CurrentC app, and it’s not saved to your phone, keeping it safe if your device is lost or stolen.

4. CHECKOUT OPTIONS AT A GLANCE

CurrentC is supported by more than 70 retailers. With that comes the need to support a variety of retail payment systems and customer smartphones, both old and new. During the beta rollout of CurrentC, there are a few ways to pay depending on which retailer you are visiting: From CHECKOUT, select SHOP, DINE, or PUMP. Or, in some locations, uses of a BLUETOOTH BEACON lets you pay without pressing the CHECKOUT button at all.

SHOP + SHOW: At retailers such as CVS/pharmacy and Target, you will select SHOP, then SHOW to generate your Paycode. The cashier will scan your Paycode to process your transaction.

 

SHOP + SCAN: At retailers such as Giant Eagle and Giant Eagle Market District, you will select SHOP, then SCAN to access your phone’s camera, which you will then point at the Paycode generated on the register to process your transaction.

 

DINE + SCAN: At sit-down restaurant partners, the DINE option lets you add a tip right from the app before you complete your transaction. Once the server brings your check, you’ll select DINE, then SCAN to access your phone’s camera, which you will then point at the Paycode printed on the check to process any tip amount you add and complete the transaction. The server is notified the check is closed automatically once you pay, so you don’t have to wait for a receipt to sign.

 

PUMP: At gas stations, you will select PUMP, then verify your station location and pump number to authorize the pump to begin fueling before you even exit your vehicle.

 

BLUETOOTH BEACONS IN-STORE: At merchant partners such as Wendy’s, Bluetooth Beacons are used at the in-store register. Make sure your BLUETOOTH is turned on, then PIN IN to the CurrentC app and tell the cashier you’re using CurrentC to pay. The beacon light will turn GREEN when ready, then TOUCH your phone to the beacon. Your order total will appear in the app, and you will approve to finalize your payment.

 

BLUETOOTH BEACONS AT DRIVE-THRU: At drive-thru restaurants like Wendy’s, Bluetooth Beacons are used in the drive-thru. Make sure your BLUETOOTH is turned on, then PIN IN to the CurrentC app and tell the drive-thru cashier you’re using CurrentC to pay. Your order will appear in the app so you can approve your payment while keeping your phone in your hand.

 

BLUETOOTH FAQS

Where can I make a Bluetooth payment?

  • At this time all participating Wendy’s locations accept Bluetooth payments inside the store and in the drive-thru. Check the CurrentC Store Locator to see if there is a participating Wendy’s near you.

 

What devices support Bluetooth payments?

  • iPhone 4S or newer, running iOS 7 and above, data or Wi-Fi connection is also required
  • Bluetooth capable devices running Android 4.3 and above, data or Wi-Fi connection is also required

 

What information is being transmitted via Bluetooth?

  • The Bluetooth Beacon only transmits the checkout token, no other communication occurs between your phone and the beacon. This token never contains anything about you or your payment information.

Search

  • On the app’s main screen, select the ‘Offers’ button.
  • You will be show a list of all available offers that you can clip.
  • Select the search icon in the top right corner.
  • Type in the item, store or category you are looking for.
    • As you type, the list will filter to only show relevant offers.

Categories

  • On the app’s main screen, select the ‘Offers’ button.
  • You will be show a list of all available offers that you can clip.
  • Select the filter icon in the top right corner.
  • Select the category you would like to browse.
    • To view all offers again, go back into the category selection screen and select the ‘Clear’ option.

 

CLIPPING OFFERS

  • On the CurrentC home screen, select the ‘Offers’ button
  • You will be show a list of all available offers that you can clip
  • Select the offer you would like to clip by tapping on it
  • When viewing the offer details, select ‘Clip’ at the bottom of the screen
  • Your offer is now clipped and ready to be redeemed

 

UNCLIP/REMOVE AN OFFER

  • On the CurrentC home screen, select the ‘Offers’ button
  • You will be show a list of all available offers that you can clip.
  • Select ‘Clipped Offers’ in the top menu.
  • Select the offer from the list that you would like to unclip by tapping on it.
  • When viewing the offer details, select ‘Remove Offer’ at the bottom of the screen.
  • Your offer is now unclipped. If you would like to clip the offer again, just tap ‘Clip’ at the bottom of the screen.

 

REDEEM AN OFFER

  • Most offers in CurrentC will be automatically redeemed at eligible merchants without the need for any input from you. Once in awhile, you may be prompted to select an offer during the checkout process. For example, we want to give you the power to use that “10% off your total purchase” coupon when you’re buying more than a pack of gum!
  • All offers that you have clipped that are redeemable at the current merchant are automatically sent to the merchant during checkout. The merchant’s register validates the available offers against your order items and redeems any eligible offers that apply.
    • For the occasional offer that cannot be sent up automatically, you will be prompted to select them during the checkout process.

 

OFFER FAQS:

How do I know which offers were submitted?

  • You can quickly see an offer was redeemed by looking at your Activity Detail (see Viewing Activity History). The activity detail will show you the amount of any offers redeemed during a transaction.
  • You will also see offer redemptions listed in the Transaction Summary sent to the email registered to your CurrentC Account.
  • Finally, if you request a paper receipt at the time of checkout, you will see any redeemed offers listed on the receipt.

 

How do I know where I can use the offers available through CurrentC?

  • Click on an offer to see the Offer Info related to that specific offer
  • Look for the “Redeemable at” information included in the offer. These are the only merchant partners who accept this particular offer.
  • Be sure to view the Terms & Conditions for each offer

6. VIEWING ACTIVITY HISTORY

Want to see a list of your transactions with CurrentC? You can view activity, including purchases and refunds, from inside the app, making it easy to grab a screenshot of your activity detail for record keeping or account balancing purposes. Follow these steps to view your Activity History:

  • Open CurrentC app
  • Enter your 4-digit Passcode
  • From the Home Screen select the APP MENU (3 horizontal lines at the top of the screen)
  • Select ACTIVITY to see a list of your CurrentC activity history, including store address and payment or refund amount
  • Select any activity item for more details, including date and time of purchase and payment account used
  • Select FILTER to filter activity history by a date range you select
  • Press the APPLY FILTER button
  • To remove filter, select FILTER, then press CLEAR FILTER button
  • You will also receive an email with your transaction summary after every purchase or refund

7. PROCESSING RETURNS

Have you ever had to swipe your credit or debit card to return something in a store? CurrentC works the same way, allowing the cashier to process the return by scanning the Paycode to look up the activity history. This process will NOT result in an additional charge to your account.

 

Depending on the merchant, each return process may be slightly different. Please follow the cashiers lead to either display or scan a Paycode presented, and then select the activity history associated with the purchase you are returning.

 

  • Open your CurrentC app
  • Enter your 4-digit Passcode
  • Press the CHECKOUT button
  • Select the SHOP option
  • Press SCAN if presented with a Paycode on the register

OR

  • Press SHOW if the cashier needs to scan the Paycode on the app
  • Select the activity history associated with the purchase you are returning
  • Press the OK button
  • The cashier will finish the return process through the register

 

NOTE: Some merchants may not use the CurrentC app itself to process your return. Be sure you follow their return policy regarding any printed receipts or other proof of purchase required, even when using CurrentC to pay.

TROUBLESHOOTING

1. CONNECTION TIPS

  • A data connection must be available to open the CurrentC app and to process transactions
  • A Wi-Fi connection is preferable when available. Many of our merchant partners have Guest Wi-Fi available in their locations, so be sure to look for it.
  • Camera Access must be granted to CurrentC to use the SCAN payment functionality in retail locations and at restaurants
  • Location Services must be turned on to use Store Locator, and to process transactions at some merchant locations
  • Bluetooth must be turned on to use Bluetooth Beacons at select merchant locations

2. ERROR ADDING PAYMENT ACCOUNT

  • The most common error when adding an account is mistyping of information. You will see a message asking you to check the information and try again.
  • If you see any other errors when adding payment accounts, please contact our Customer Care team for assistance.

3. LOYALTY ACCOUNTS AND/OR DISCOUNTS NOT APPLYING AT CHECKOUT

  • If you find that your loyalty account is not being applied correctly during your payment, you may need to verify that your account information has been entered correctly into CurrentC.
  • Try removing the account and reentering the information into CurrentC

4. OFFERS/COUPONS NOT APPLYING AT CHECKOUT

  • Be sure you have CLIPPED the offer you want to use
  • Check to see that the item you are purchasing matches the offer information, including the “redeemable at” merchant information.

5. LOCKED OUT OF YOUR CURRENTC ACCOUNT

  • If you attempt a wrong password, Passcode, or Security Question answer too many times, you will lock yourself out of your account. If this happens, you must call our Customer Care team at 855-772-8773 to unlock your device.

LOST OR STOLEN DEVICE

1. CONSUMER LIABILITY PROTECTION

If your device, Passcode, password, or other login credentials have been lost or stolen, or if you see charges made using your CurrentC account that you do no recognize or have not authorized, contact us at once by calling toll free 855-772-8773 or emailing customercare@currentc.com. Our Customer Care Team is available 7 days a week.

 

CurrentC has implemented rigorous security measures to prevent unauthorized access to your account. However, should any fraudulent charges appear on your account as a result of purchasing with CurrentC, you’re protected by the same consumer fraud protection that exists with your plastic card today.

 

If you’re using your checking account you are covered by our Zero Liability policy, as described in our Terms & Conditions, so you’re not liable for fraudulent charges.

2. DISABLE ACCOUNT ACCESS FROM MISSING DEVICE

You can disable access to your CurrentC account from your missing device to ensure that no transactions can be processed without your authorization. If the missing phone is recovered, you can quickly enable the device to allow CurrentC mobile payments again if you choose, or you can install and access the CurrentC app on a new phone if you replace your missing device completely.
